Royal Jelly

Royal jelly is an extremely valuable bee product, often referred to as "bee gold" due to its unique composition and effects.

  1. Benefits to human health

    • Fertility and potency: Royal jelly is renowned as a natural fertility booster because it is rich in biologically active substances and hormone precursors that may help balance hormonal activity. It is believed to improve sperm quality in men and may help regulate ovulation processes in women, as well as increase libido and potency.

    • Immune system strengthening: Due to its antibacterial and antiviral properties, it strengthens the body's resistance to infections.

    • Energy and rejuvenation: Royal jelly helps fight fatigue, reduces the effects of stress, and promotes skin regeneration, which is why it is often used in cosmetics.

    • Cholesterol regulation: Studies show that it may help lower "bad" cholesterol levels in the blood.

  2. What do bees use royal jelly for?

    • Nutrition: It is the primary food for bee larvae during the first days of their lives.

    • Queen bee rearing: Only the queen bee is fed royal jelly throughout her entire life. It is precisely because of this unique diet that she becomes physically larger, lives up to 40–50 times longer than ordinary worker bees, and is sexually mature.

  3. How is it harvested?

    • Artificial cultivation: Beekeepers create special conditions so that bees produce more royal jelly than they need naturally. Special "queen" cells with larvae are placed into the hive.

    • Collection: After three days, beekeepers remove these cells and carefully extract the royal jelly using special tools.

    • Protect from light and temperature: It is a very sensitive product that spoils quickly, so it must be stored in a dark place and in the refrigerator.

Other interesting facts

  • Hormonal power: Although royal jelly does not contain direct human hormones, it contains substances that act as endocrine system modulators, helping the body regulate its own hormonal balance.

  • Composition: It contains all essential amino acids, vitamins (especially B group), fatty acids, and the unique 10-HDA compound, which has a very strong antibacterial effect.

  • Exclusivity: This is the only product that determines such a drastic difference between larvae of identical genetics—to become a short-lived worker bee or a long-lived queen.
